In the second quarter of 2022, the leading food delivery apps on the Android platform in South America experienced diverse trends in downloads and active users. Here's a closer look at the performance of the top five apps, according to Sensor Tower data.

iFood comida e mercado em casa saw a strong start with weekly downloads reaching up to 343K in mid-April. However, downloads showed a declining trend, ending the quarter at approximately 186K. Active users fluctuated but remained robust, peaking at around 8.8M in late March and ending at about 8.4M by the end of June.

PedidosYa - Delivery Online maintained a consistent download rate, starting at 175K and peaking at nearly 193K in mid-April, before gradually declining to 160K by the end of June. Active users saw a rise early in the quarter, reaching up to 3.4M in mid-May, before stabilizing around 3.2M towards the end of the quarter.

Rappi: Food Delivery, Grocery experienced a downward trend in downloads, starting at 129K in late March and dropping to around 93K by the end of June. Active users showed a slight decline over the quarter, starting at 2.9M and ending at approximately 2.8M.
